My creative journey has been shaped by oil painting and filmmaking. Taught composition and perspective by my grandfather at age 7, I always aspired to direct and write films. Filmmaking came naturally, from compositing shots to guiding storytelling, though independent projects are difficult without financial support. Now, I paint images inspired by my stories but find paintings limiting; only film fully conveys my narrative. While a painting sparks curiosity, film is my true passion.

Having grown up in an environment where compassion was limited, I often retreated to my room to write scripts and paint, without opportunities to express my emotions. I have come to realize that I channel much of my emotional experience into my art, often subconsciously. My creative process begins with classical music, which evokes visions that are difficult to explain. I then compose scenes inspired by each aria. Ultimately, my artistic work develops organically, much like the flow of music.

Fund my film. DARLING OF PEARL tells the heartfelt story of a young black man and a young white woman who fall deeply in love during the 1960s after his return home from the Vietnam war. The film presents a love story that unfolds across several decades, alternating between their younger years and later life as he patiently awaits a sign from his departed soulmate. Using powerful symbolism and visuals, the film explores the lasting effects of lost love and the memories that define a lifetime.
