Art saved my life. It turned my pain into purpose, my struggle into legacy. Every piece I create is proof that the impossible is possible.

My favorite art to create is dark contrast work — warm and cool tones blended together, anchored by heavy blacks and rich shadows. I love pieces that jump off the skin. Art that holds expression, emotion, and presence. Tattoos that don't just sit there — they breathe, they move, they demand to be felt. I pour myself into every piece, chasing that moment when a tattoo stops being ink and becomes a story. That's the art I love. Bold. Expressive. Alive. The kind of work that outlives me.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the road l've walked. I was once locked up for graffiti -- and walked out with a vision to never go back, but to build something greater. I find inspiration in my faith, my struggle, and my clients' stories. I've traveled the world. met some of mv favorite artists face to face, and those moments shaped me deeply. Opening the first tattoo studio in Newtown, PA reminded me history isn't given - it's earned. Every line I draw is fueled by that truth.
What would you do with $25,000?I would reinvest every dollar into building a legacy. The funds would expand PhillyJoe Tattoos & Cosmetics into a luxurv destination studio, launch my "Beyond Ink"' mentorship program for underserved artists, and fuel my "Tattooing With A Twist" media platform - bridging art, culture, and conversation. This arant wouldn't iust elevate me; it would create opportunities for the next generation of artists who, like me, came from nothing and refuse to stav there. This is bigger than me.
