I lost my hearing and much more due to a meningitis infection, art is my healer.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I have a fascination for contrasts, the subconscious and often experiment with strong colors and different mediums to find wholes that work in my own world. Art, music and expression have always been important and now even more so all the visuals as I lost my hearing after a meningitis infection, ended up in a coma and then had to learn to speak, think, walk etc., which is often reflected in my art. Restlessness, loneliness, imagination and bright colours are often seen in the paintings.
Where do you find inspiration?when I start with something, l always get stuck in it, for better or worse, almost become a little obsessed and nothing else is in my world at the time. Sometimes for long periods of time and I drill deeper and deeper into what I'm stuck in. This results in an incredible number of things being done in a short time, everything can be changed at any time and many works of art are being redone. For me, this search is a therapy that helps me through long and many days, a way to heal and to be.
