I create art about the human experience; form, connection to time, movement, space and between humans.

I am currently experimenting more with abstract expressionistic pastel drawings of humans in motion, with underlying themes of religion. I create a lot of art based on specific emotion and movement, attempting to capture the ephemeral on a two dimensional plane. Recently, I've been exploring sculpture and ceramics with organic, humanoid shapes reminiscent of Venus figures of the past.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration within my own emotion and memories, and I attempt to connect with historical and religious themes as well. Currently, I've been exploring Catholicism, the faith I was raised in but do not practice, as a visual language to express.
What would you do with $25,000?I would continue my education and artistic endeavors by pursuing an MFA.
