Art has been a savior for me. It’s given me a voice & offered me a way to stir something in others they may need so they needn’t feel alone.

I am a songwriter. I’m grateful for the opportunity to meld words with music to create a story that never existed before,
Where do you find inspiration?I believe there are 2 types of people, those that see the world, and those that feel the world around them. Artists feel. I feel. Many artist’s inspiration develops as a mechanism to deal with trauma and process grief. That’s me. At 12 yrs old I lost my older Brother to suicide. And in 2020, I lost my beautiful Daughter the same way. I thank God for giving me music.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d like to use part of the money, to get a seat at a table, to talk with folks that believe my album “This Girl” must be made into a play/musical, in the hope it will bring greater awareness through greater empathy to mental heath concerns and suicide prevention causes. Although there greater conversation of late, but not greater action. A play/ musical like this has never been done before. If there is money left over, that money would go to help grass roots groups working 2 help those 2 causes
