I believe I’m a multifaceted artist creating in any context and medium available. My absolute favorite is installation art. Finding a space that needs a little nudge to find purpose is what I’m all about. Light installation is something I’d like to delve into a bit more. Recognizing James Turrel as one of my biggest inspirations. Possibly use different colored glass to best harbor the idea of gels against natural sunlight.
Where do you find inspiration? Many times I find inspiration from comic art. Many comics, manga, cartoons, stop motion, and films also inspire me. Recently I’ve wanted to get back into photography. But I’ve also had thrill seeking occupations that build anticipation and motivation for new works in the making.
What would you do with $25,000?Continue supporting the arts and create/join workshops to further develop not only my own but the surrounding artist techniques. Perhaps put a down payment down on a studio for a collective group to work in. If won, I most definitely would pay off some debt collected over the years surviving as an artist. I would also invest in a website; hire a legit website designer to help bring my vision to life. I’ve always dreamed of owning my own pottery shop, this would help tremendously with equipment.
