I am a self-taught oil painter and disabled veteran whose work which started as therapy is driven by emotion, memory, and lived experience.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My paintings draw from military stories, landscapes, dreams, and personal visions, blending narrative elements with an expressive approach. Without formal training, I rely on instinct and emotion to guide each piece, allowing the work to evolve naturally through color, movement, and texture. Oil paint’s slow, layered process supports this method, giving space for reflection and transformation.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of my inspiration comes from my Crqzy head where I try to translate internal experiences into visual form, creating paintings that are honest, atmospheric, and open to interpretation.
What would you do with $25,000?50% I would donate to a Veteran Art therapy program in Antelope Valley to keep it going. 25% donate to my younger daughter’s (14 ) Art schools and supplies 24% pay back debt, rough years since covid 1% new brushes and some cadmium yellow Thank you
