Exploring new visual language. Creating a new way to communicate that reflects who I am in ways words cannot.

I love painting’s tension between old craft and new vision. Right now, I’m exploring how halftone patterns shape perception. These works are decorative on the surface, but my recent work is slowly beginning to lean socio-political. Ideally, I’ll test what resonates with viewers, then follow where the work and market lead.
Where do you find inspiration?Lately my greatest inspiration is the nagging thought that none of use truly see the same thing. I am fascinated that our perception of everything is based upon a handful of senses collected by a few systems. In these terms we are not unlike the robotic probes we send into space.
What would you do with $25,000?Winning would bring prestige and opportunity. Opportunities usually require investment. I’d set aside part of the money to support whatever new doors open: studio time, materials, or promotion. The rest? I’d hold it as creative capital, ready to move when the right next step reveals itself.
