Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

My type of art I usually enjoy creating is black & white portraits. I’ve done popular figures such as Tupac, MF DOOM, and a few artists who are influential in their own work and for the community. My favorite part of the process is shading. Once you finish setting up the guide lines, you began creating something that is normal in reality: shading in the complexity wonders of life onto a piece of medium.

Where do you find inspiration?

Whenever I look around art galleries, I never seen any black and white drawings and I wonder why that is. I think that people underestimate the value of black and white. Some will say “it’s boring” or “it’s bland.” In my opinion, it’s neither of that. you’re not just shading in what you’re trying creating. You are also implementing nostalgia of human nature onto the paper. As well as putting raw emotion and detail which catches the focus of a human eye.

What would you do with $25,000?

I just turned 18, I’m going to college this year for a bachelor’s degree in Arts, and high school is ending soon. 25,000 dollars is a major prize to an 18 year old. In all honesty, I would give 15,000 dollars to my parents because they raised me in all of my life so that i can take any opportunities available for me, just like this one. For the 10,000 dollars, I would try to give back to those that offered things to me when I had nothing. The world needs nothing, but love.
