I create short documentaries, narrative films, and photography that reflect the stories, strength, and everyday beauty of the Dene people across Denendeh. Through film, music, and visual art, I’m passionate about preserving culture, sharing lived experiences, and creating work that connects people through storytelling.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration through my people, my family, and the land of Denendeh. The stories, teachings, resilience, and love within the Dene community continue to shape the way I create. Much of my work is rooted in honoring our voices, preserving our culture, and creating space for Indigenous stories to be seen and felt with honesty and care. From community gatherings and ceremonies to everyday moments with family, I draw inspiration from the strength and spirit that surrounds me.
What would you do with $25,000?My dream is to build a creative studio in my home community of Liidlii Kue / Fort Simpson — a space where art, film, photography, and music can come together to tell our stories in our own voice. I want it to be more than just a studio. I want it to become a gathering place for creativity, healing, learning, and cultural expression for our people and future generations.
