What is your favorite type of art to create?

Custom mosaic art is my favorite type of art to make. I learned how to make mosaics from my father and my grandfather. My grandfather immigrated to the US from Buenos Aires in the 1950s, and I especially love making mosaics that let me honor our family legacy and story .

Where do you find inspiration?

My family, the city, other artists (of all mediums), and in nature. The LA River. Burbank, where I grew up. My friends and the people I work with. I get new inspiration all the time, for every project. I think the LA series of places here in Los Angeles is going to my life's work.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would reinvest in my art, help out some of my family, and put some into savings for my sons. There are mosaic artists all over the world I would love to work with, and my pops and I have glass studios we want to visit in China. My team and I design and fabricate everything in Los Angeles, and with $25,000 my studio could put even more back into the local art community .
