My work combines two passions. My fascination with prehistory and drive to make visually compelling images.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My passion is to depict extinct animals and the ecosystems they lived in. Often referred to as scientific illustration or paleoart, my work is intended to give the viewer a window into a world lost to time.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by fossils and the work of paleontologists who describe them. The ancient world has demonstrated time and again that it is truly more spectacular than fiction. The complex and mysterious history of life has kept me continuously curious. I am also inspired by the beautiful yet ruthlessness of nature of today. There are always discoveries being made, each one adding a small piece to the puzzle of our past.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d put it towards a down payment on a home.
