Art became the bridge between my inner and outer worlds transforming experience, emotion, and survival into painting
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My work explores the deconstruction and reconfiguration of forms through a visual language rooted in Neo-Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism, and Art Brut. While traces of realism and impressionism remain present, my practice is primarily driven by raw gesture, emotional intensity
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration emerges from what my eyes observe and from both personal and collective experiences. It comes from an accumulation of ideas, emotions, memories, and fragmented visions that instinctively push me to paint. Everything is born from within my mind from what I have lived, witnessed, or even from dreams that remain suspended in my subconscious. In many ways, my work becomes an introspective process translated into painting
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest heavily in materials, a lot oils, canvas and brushes, strengthen my artistic career through travel to museums and art fairs, create greater visibility for my work, and improve my studio to support a stronger creative process. I also want to expand my practice into large-scale sculpture and installation, exploring new dimensions and experiences within my work. I want to create and work hard!
