JOSE AYALA

I am art. Being an artist is something that anyone can be or more importantly is, but have yet claimed. Art is the flat lamp in daily life.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love to work with anything I can get my hands on but recently my medium of choice has been street signs

Where do you find inspiration?

From every direction, from the people I work with to the signage I see to some off hand cartoon I might glance at. I have a mental archive that I pull from at all times, it’s almost like im always trying to put some kind of puzzle together and the pieces are everything I’ve ever perceived.

What would you do with $25,000?

Paying my car off, buying a ticket to Venice and enrolling in ITAFORMA the premier welding school in Europe, where I’ll hone my welding skills and work for art refineries and make $700k sculptures.
