I create art to inspire others. My message always is: you can dream, you can believe and you can make a living from your artistry.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Although I love pop art, I enjoy experimenting with different mediums, techniques, and artistic movements. Recognizing other artists' legacies and drawing inspiration from them, like Keith Haring, Basquiat, and Andy Warhol, allows me to use them as references in my work, connecting vibrancy, culture, and the fleeting nature of life. Through my brush strokes, I create stories that can resonate with everyone at any time.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by every single person who hops on the train each day in NYC. Getting to know their backgrounds inspires me. One of my pieces shows me surrounded by famous artists like Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Dali, and Picasso in a subway station. My goal with this painting is to show others that we are always surrounded by talent. Sometimes, we don't realize it, but the most important thing is to believe in yourself and in your talent.
What would you do with $25,000?I would first invest in my artistic practice and growth, continuing to develop my voice and expand my work. At the same time, I would donate a portion of the funds to a nonprofit that has supported artists like me, helping ensure they can continue uplifting creatives and making art accessible to people of all ages. A key part of my legacy as an artist is to inspire others to discover the artist within themselves, which I plan to do through workshops and community engagement.
