I like the repetition of production potting. I like making 20 cups in one sitting at the wheel. I LOVE the times when I come up with a new design. I love seeing where the clay and the process takes me. I love trying new things. I love making one of a kind experimental pieces. I love opening the kiln to see pieces in their finished state with their vibrant colors. It is like Christmas every time!
Where do you find inspiration?The world is full of inspiration. Nature: animal, vegetable, mineral, earth, moon, sky. People: smiles, faces, songs, emotions, wants, needs. Past, present, future. Logic, irony, reason, math, science. Everything is inspirational.
What would you do with $25,000?Bills of course. There is always that need. I would also love to see the upper Rockies/Montana. Every part of America I have been to is beautiful in its own way. It is all amazing, but I want to see the Rockies. It would be a great chance for me as a naturalist to see wildlife species not found elsewhere.
