I need to create, without art I become very anxious. Painting started out for me as therapy, but now it feels more like breathing, life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!

Receive Text UpdatesI am fascinated and inspired by abstract expressionist work. To me this style feels extremely personal, as though I’m navigating the map of my psyche in search of a memory. Looking through past experiences and emotions and feeling a genuine connection to the piece. I produce abstract expressionist paintings to display my own experiences in a way that not only I can enjoy but others can relate to. I create in this style because it feels authentic to my perspective.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in all parts of my life. From the pain and joys of my childhood. Through the rough and challenging experiences of my Naval service. I use my past as a muse to explore a turbulent and uncertain time of my life. I focus on form as a representation of a chaotic world, and imagery as a display of having peace through pain.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win this $25,000 prize, I would use the money to not only display my work across the country. I would also build and develop my studio, and buy necessary equipment and materials to further develop my craft.
