I love to paint because it’s fun to create something potentially amazing.

Receive Text UpdatesThough I have tried several different painting styles throughout my career, my current favorite is contemporary realism, especially when it depicts the human condition. I’ve always appreciated art that involved a relatively ambiguous narrative; a non-specific story for any viewer to try and deduce its meaning. Painting was originally invented to tell some sort of story, and there is never a lack of drama where there is a human presence.
Where do you find inspiration?I typically find inspiration by looking through art books or perusing on the internet, but my best source is when I’m not really searching for it. It’s the unexpected discovery of something beautiful that really ignites my passion. It can literally happen anywhere, any day, and anytime. All I really have to do is decide to get out of bed in the morning.
What would you do with $25,000?I have two beautiful sons who have both spent some time in the NICU, so I would use it to help pay for their medical bills.
