I love to mix several different elements of creation to build a story that’s doing everything in its power to seep out of me. By merging painting, photography, film, literature, dance, and music, I’m expressing what the inner child has been processing since birth. Physical art has to be my favorite to create. It provides a space for your senses that connect you to memory.

My family has shown me the light and dark. I see how existing as one, brings clarity to what we’ve all pondered. The way we love each other has brought us through oppression. We celebrate now as we get to explore the world together. When I sit and study nature, I see the parallels that exist in both environments. We’ve created a digital ecosystem, neglecting the physical ecosystem. I believe there’s a way to have a hybrid ecosystem and my art helps me process those dreams.

The resources will be poured into my craft. I have a developing art show that will bring people together and break bread. The goal is to create safe spaces for unique people to gather and serve each other as one. Spaces for expression, safety, and care. This is only the beginning of something new and the $25,000 will be the charge I need financially to bring the vision to life. A vision that once started with my ancestors who’ve walked before me.
