Tattoos saved my life. Literally. And I am blessed enough to be able to provide for my family, by doing them every day.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
All of it. That’s why they call me “Josh of all trades”. I primarily tattoo. But, I find myself dabbling in multiple other mediums as well from time to time.. there’s just no better canvas, in my opinion, than..well.. YOU!
Where do you find inspiration? In everyday life. I soak up everything I see, and I try to apply the things I learn while traveling, living, loving, and even stressing. I can create art in almost any mood or setting. And the small release from the reality, however brief it may be, has always been my happy place.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d spend it broadening the reach of a nonprofit I started at the end of 22’ called “Tattoos Saved My Life”, and advocate even more for mental health awareness, and suicide prevention. I hope to leave an important message for artists and collectors long after I am gone. And that doesn’t always have to be in the actual form of artwork. It’s an art to show love and compassion. It’s the BEST type of art actually!
