When you find art you connect with its you and the person who made it sharing a feeling. I like making something people can connect with.

I love nature photography and writing. I grew up in WA state where we have some of the most incredible feats of nature in the world. My dream would to be to write a thriller fiction book filled with my photos. Mixing different forms of art, both visual and mental is what I think gives people the ultimate experience.
Where do you find inspiration? When I was a kid, for a year I had agoraphobia. I also struggle with depersonalization and derealization. Being out in nature was something that changed me. We are often told not to go out in nature alone, that we should be scared and protective of ourselves. Well nature is what made me feel safe and in control, even when I was alone.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy myself a new camera lens. Probably use a couple hundred dollars to pay for expenses for a road trip with my husband so I could get some use out of it. The photograph I submitted was taken in Baker City, OR. Taken on my husband cousin, Dan and Tanna’s property. I would definitely give them some of the money as a thank you for allowing me to capture the beautiful hundreds of acres they own. I also have this photo hanging in my house and if I won, I would frame one for them as well.
