I love how I lose touch with reality - fall into a trance. I stay present for hours developing art - feels like my higher self - a conduit.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
To be very specific I love creating light and space with color. The dramatic cloud formations in my newest collection of work is my most recent fav. I go through seasons of self discovery and find that I enjoy painting portraits the most and another season I might have more fun painting fantasy figures, or sometimes my mood is more abstract and I allow the art to reveal itself through no plan of my own.
Where do you find inspiration?I see inspiration nearly everywhere I look. I certainly have favorite artists from the Dutch masters to living artists, but my inspiration is typically all around me, my surroundings hold a lot of space in my mind and right now it’s the sunrise and the sunset. I am enamored with the light in the sky. The pinks, lavender and golds are crazy gorgeous - I am inspired to emulate them.
What would you do with $25,000?There are several things I would do. 1.) I’d use to make more art of course! 2.) I would use it to hire someone to assist me with marketing my work 3.) I would donate a portion to an organization who protect and support mothers and their children recovering from domestic abuse.
