Film, like the body, decays. We explore illusion, memory, and tech’s growing power to inspire actionable change in the world.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Our work investigates embodiment and impermanence, using moving images to examine how technology shapes memory, truth, and perception.
Where do you find inspiration? In the illusion of the moving image, which, ironically, is used to document and even validate our reality.
What would you do with $25,000?We propose a global campaign for TheGoldRoom.space as a public-facing, participatory photo installation and archive activating conversations around memory, aging, and care. Beautiful, respectful and engaging, The Gold Room is a replicable model for memory care engagement in urban communities. Photo portraits of people living with memory challenges and their care partners will be printed on gold paper to create immersive environments that invite conversation, reflection, and communal support.
