I love to create art because I want to feel, to feel the strongest emotions that I collect throughout my life journey, and those I can’t.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is semi realistic, but also more than anything Expressionism, to create strong feelings in my audience. My biggest inspiration is Renaissance art, although I do have a personal style of the Avante Guard that just comes naturally. Color is my favorite tool for creating these emotions, but I do have college training in drawing. I consider drawing my biggest asset, and I strive to be able to draw anything that I can imagine.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from wanting to create something that my audience can love and cherish. Most of my work are small pieces, usually 8X10 or 8X8. I create art to occupy a small piece of the world where feelings can fester, but also to create an aesthetic pleasure. My favorite masters are the Renaissance painters, Da Vinci and Michealangelo, but my favorite artist of all time is Herman Bosch, because he creates so much feeling with his drawing skills and dark themes.
What would you do with $25,000?I would most likely invest them into creating more art, supplies and such, as they are quite expensive. I would also use them in something superbly creative that I can’t think of yet, but want to find out. It would be in the category of supplies too.
