Painting with oils and watercolors. I also love to sew. I draw and paint people, especially women. I love facial characters and traditional beauty. I love to spend hours at the easel and the weird feeling when I go back to seeing reality. Then the amazingness of reality blows me away. Everything I do is intuitive. I don’t pre plan anything, just a vague idea of where I’d like to be and I let the material take me.
Where do you find inspiration? The sky makes me stop in my tracks, but everything I look at is art in my brain. I see everything as if I were looking at a crazy quilt with shapes, colors, textures and feeling. I see love in what I choose to see.
What would you do with $25,000?I would go to Florence, Italy for at least a month then Ponce, Puerto Rico to paint and leave my mark where I was born. Then Mexico where the art melts indigenous with modern life. The birth place of Acrylics.
