I collect images of places and things that were important and useful, and now lay forgotten and are slowly disappearing.

I love making pieces of art made from the products represented in the work. For example I did a very large piece called Smashed a photographic image of smashed cars printed on aluminum from smashed recycle aluminum. The image is smashed as well including smashed glass, metal and plastic representing a system that is smashed sending car parts to dumps. Taking something once usefull, then scrap and turning it into something useful again making a full circle.
Where do you find inspiration?Metal scrap yards, private colections and forgotten places. Many places and things I photograph have disappeared or have been destroyed. I have often been asked to record their existence by photograph. Before they dissappear.
What would you do with $25,000?Travel to find more places and find objects to photograph in my style. Many ghost towns are being vandalized and I like to capture more images of these places before they are gone.
