I paint to give memories and stories a softer place to live publicly. Complexity, thinly veiled in immersive scenery.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favourite art to create is layered, story-driven acrylic paintings. Rich scenes that reward time and curiosity. I love hiding figures, symbols, and recurring motifs within decorative compositions, so the work shifts the longer you look. It lets me build immersive worlds where beauty carries tension, emotion, and narrative, and where viewers can discover something new each time they return.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in other creatives and brave, vulnerable people.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were awarded $25,000, I would reinvest it directly into my painting practice. It would allow me to create larger, more detailed works with the time and materials needed for layered, story-driven compositions. I would focus on a series of paintings built like single-frame films, expanding hidden imagery, recurring motifs, and narrative depth, while also sharing the evolution of the work as an extension of the storytelling, revealing how each piece comes to be and the ideas behind it.
