I am committed that art be an active participant in elevating the human experience for creator and audience alike. It is a privilege.

I love creating art that unfolds as you experience it, that asks the viewer to step in. This also necessitates my own expansion, my own "stepping in" and allows me to make large gestures that tell an amplified story. In making art, I always leave room for improvisation. I want to feel something untouched, something raw, as I create. An open channel is required. To this end, I use materials that stimulate my senses, texture, color, imagery, and a deep understanding of the body in space.
Where do you find inspiration?A layman's passion for science, and a devoted practice of internal investigation, offer up a bounty of inspiration and wonder, this life is worthy of sensorial immersion. I am moved every day by the beauty of this planet, by the opportunity of connection with others. Color, texture, and movement fascinate me, leaving deep impressions, that reemerge as visions. Practices like Qigong, writing, and cooking, all create an alignment with my energetic self, this is the source that keeps giving.
What would you do with $25,000?With a line up of exciting and ambitious projects that I am eager to realize, I would have immediate use for funds, as many processes are underway. "Pre Sent" my current project, will require hardware and rigging to exhibit. The public screening of the collaborative film project "Cicada" will require building structures for the accompanying exhibition. I am expanding in many directions, and that requires investment and focus, this money would allow for a continuity of effort.
