It’s the only thing that feels right. A way to let go of the trauma Ive endured in my life and find the beauty in the most unlikely place.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!

Receive Text UpdatesLike my father before me, at my core, I am a painter. Abstract Art has always spoken to me. I am creating an out of body experience in my own dimension in a way. But I also enjoy exploring and playing with other mediums. Large scale pieces that make me focus and tap into my higher consciousness are the ones I tend to gravitate towards most. The more space I have to create on the canvas, the more room I can make in my mind to keep my thoughts flowing to create something new.
Where do you find inspiration?Literally everything and anything. Seeing other people’s work and also watching others and their own processes inspires me sometimes. Some days it is something I see, some days it may be something I am feeling, or hearing, or all the above. A lot of reflection of things I have been through such as having massive brain surgery when I was a child, being homeless and lost etc. As someone much smarter than me once said, “Rage, Rage against the dying of the light.”
What would you do with $25,000?I haven’t really thought about it I would probably get an art studio again, big enough for me to work on large scale pieces as well as materials. Invest in my art, in myself and pursue goals I have not had the opportunity to, due to financial shortcomings and what have you . I don’t expect anything from this, other than getting out of my comfort zone and trying to possibly network and share my work more than I have in the past. It’s rough out there, especially for our kind (Artists).
