My favorite type of art to create is traditional using acrylic paint and canvas, specifically focusing on ethereal and fantasy inspired ideas with a touch of the real-world story behind it. Acrylic paint is a challenge of how to get it to blend smoothly before it dries, how to blend and get the right color theory on the canvas and make the piece come to life.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through my daily life, not just doomscrolling on social media, but also just in feelings and circumstances myself and others have gone through. I also got back into reading recently especially fantasy books and love the feeling of escaping to another world and wanted to embody that in my pieces as well, so when you look at them you feel like you are entering into something new.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000, I would invest it into my future so I can take one step closer to becoming a full-time artist. Currently, I work in the corporate world and have limited time for art except for the weekends, a cushion like that would help me be one step closer to following my passion full-time without worrying as much about my paycheck and unexpected expenses that arise through life.
