Art allows me to free some of the weirdness in my head. I create art that makes me smile… and I hope it makes others smile too!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like hand-building and sculpting from clay, that is glazed and fired to Cone 6-10.
Where do you find inspiration?I love words, and love the images that pop into my head sometimes. Most of my inspiration comes from mis-hearing or misinterpreting words and phrases, and from odd images that pop into my head on hearing those words or phrases.
What would you do with $25,000?I would help with improvements to our Ceramics Studio. Currently, this community space seriously needs a new kiln, slab rollers, glazing tables… with some infrastructure and equipment improvements, this space could become a much more robust space for creation and collaboration, and could become a more productive and vital resource for our arts community.
