Through digital illustration, I love to play with textures, characters, colors, and light effects that I usually see in my cultural environment and popular art. In my photography, my absolute favorite subject is traditional dancers. I am passionate about playing with lights, vibrant colors, and dynamic movement to capture the raw energy of the dance and bring living history to life.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw deep inspiration from vibrant patronal festivals and ancient tales of our cultural figures. Immersing myself in folk dance, in particular, is a powerful tool that helps me connect with the rich textures, colors, and dynamic movements I seek to represent. By observing these living traditions, I can truly feel the raw energy that I strive to bring to life in my digital illustrations.
What would you do with $25,000?I would establish my own illustration studio and upgrade my camera equipment to continue elevating my visual work. I would also invest in producing high-quality merchandise featuring my digital art. My ultimate goal, however, would be to fund and publish illustrated books for kids dedicated to the rich cultural traditions of Cusco, focusing specifically on its traditional folk dances and ancestral rituals.
