While I sometimes express myself by giving form to the sentiments of my heart, my ultimate goal is to share joy with public.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
The works I tend to prefer are those that use modern expressive techniques and a minimal style to reduce form and color to the minimum, while still being able to attract public attention with their uniqueness. Since my profession is that of a painter as well as an interior designer, I tend to consider not only the works themselves but also the harmony between the spatial concept and the paintings, aiming to create works that can complement any space well.
Where do you find inspiration? The themes of all my works sometimes arise suddenly from ordinary daily life in ways that are interconnected, but occasionally I also find themes from among the various interests that the public of the present era wants to see and hear. This is because art can express the artist's mind and convey it to the public in ways that are not easy to understand, but my idea is to communicate with more people through themes that are to understand, in order to bring joy and healing.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to receive the winner's prize, I would primarily want to pursue the path of an artist, but I would like to donate a small portion, 10 percent of the prize, to talented young people who can't even attempt to pursue art due to difficult circumstances. There is an art school that provides free education to talented students from families with financial difficulties, and when I was living in Korea, I regularly donated to them.
