My favorite art to create is macrame and fiber art because it tells the story of my second life. After a stroke at 43, everything changed. I rebuilt strength in my left hand, peace in my spirit and finally found purpose in my artistic life. After 25 years of being a chef, I discovered the art that truly healed me. I do not just make fiber art; I knot with passion, recovery and hope into every piece I show to others that have lost their passion for life. Art is a healing transformation.

I find inspiration in the places where broken things become beautiful again. Healing hands and tangled cord, hard won strength, and second chances. I found it in texture, movement and the simple magic of creating something meaningful from a single strand of fiber. I find the most inspiration in transformation; in the journey from surviving to a thriving artist and in every piece it proves that beauty can be built knot by knot.

I absolutely would invest $25,000 into growing The Gypsyweaver Studio into a creative and HEALING space for others. It would help me purchase materials and tools, display equipment, workshop supplies and marketing to expand my reach as a macrame artist and teacher. I would also use part of it to create more opportunities for community classes. Especially for people who may be searching for healing, confidence and creativity through fiber arts, just as I once was.
