Since art is a form of expression, I find comfort and peace in being able to express things I can't in words.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My "favorite" type of art to create is art. No matter the medium or genre, or even style, I don't limit myself because it's about expressing yourself (as I stated before). I also would say that any art that connects with the emotions that I felt at the time of creating the composition would be my "favorite".
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere. Inspiration lies in everything and anything. Whether it's from the emotions we felt, things we've experienced, and/or anything that strikes that cord of creativity; that's where inspiration for me lies. Simple things like seeing different textures or getting a sensation from them, also can strike as inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?Honestly, I'd invest in myself but also in my community, giving back, bringing a voice to those that I know need help (in being seen). I also want to do better at representation (of where I'm from but also where I wanna be). There are a lot of things artistically I want to do, but lack the resources for, I'd invest in myself and ambition with some of the prize.
