Currently, my work represents my taste in music. By translating its energy and vision into something tangible, I get to show others how art represented through sound makes me feel with different mediums. With a root in realism, my work combines detail with expressive, street-inspired elements to create pieces that feel alive.
Where do you find inspiration?Music drives my work, from hip-hop and EDM to R&B and rock. Each genre highlights a part of me, which I explore through different styles and mediums. I want to push the boundaries between music and visual art, and recreate the vision music gives me.
What would you do with $25,000?Being an artist is expensive, especially as a college student. If I win the $25,000, I will invest in my own space to store and create new art. Because I love exploring different mediums, I would buy all kinds of tools ranging from spray paint to charcoal sets. To increase the quality of my social media posts, I will buy a professional camera to record videos for all platforms. My new studio and supplies will allow me to create the art I want without the financial burden many artists have today.
