I love art, because it takes me to a place beyond myself, beyond thought. A place where ideas can be expressed fully and freely.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My first love was always illustration and drawing, but as me and my art have evolved, my work blends a mix of mediums including collage, epoxy resin, Ink, spray paint, and different types of paper. I love using design elements like symmetry, bold lines, curves, and pattern to bring the viewers into a piece. I seek imagery that evokes a mysterious quality and makes the viewer intrigued and in the best cases entranced.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere! From music and film, to the art movements I love, such as Art Nouveau, Surrealism, Dadaism, Street Art, 60s Pop Art, and vintage graphic design. Beyond art itself, I'm inspired by things like mysticism, nature, religion, ancient history, the metaphysical, nostalgia, and the human condition.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would invest in a studio space, as well as the supplies and equipment to take my art to the level I have always dreamed of. With that space I would also like to develop an artist collective to support and share ideas with my local art community.
