I thrive in intuitively painted abstract expressionism because when words fail, art succeeds. I paint to reveal what is unspoken, unseen, or long forgotten without force or performance. A visual voice to resolve feelings without needing explanation. To remind of what is already known in body and heart but may have lost access to in the noise of the world. My work is layered, alive and open with stories of life. Alchemization of pain into beauty.
Where do you find inspiration?I move with what’s alive and the honesty of being emotionally human. Nature's patterns and colors inspire me. Beauty inspires me. Pain inspires me. The stories people trust me with, the body’s unraveling, the moment a color hits the canvas and something clicks emotionally. That’s what keeps me inspired to paint. Art is how I stay connected to myself. Art is how I breathe and support mental health and personal healing.
What would you do with $25,000?As a facilitator of energy work and art for over 20 years, I truly want to open a community studio to bridge the gap between metaphysical spiritual healing and mental health through art and energies. A place where we bridge the gap between people who don't identify as artists per se but wish to remember their own truth through the birthright of creativity and exploration and support of energy work. Those two things combined create powerful reflection to transform lives.
