Although I have enjoyed many art forms, including pottery and tattooing, nothing has come close to the way I feel about painting and drawing. I love to mix media and experiment. Whether it's collaging drawings and small watercolor paintings to a canvas, or becoming consumed by a single detail in a realism piece, I am in my happy place. Even when things don't work out, it is the experience of creating and bringing my inner world to light that has a lasting impression for me.
Where do you find inspiration?As many artists do, I find a lot of inspiration in other art. I do, however, get the majority of my inspiration out in nature, or in books, or in my spiritual practice. As painting is my passion, it's woven into most facets of my life and it's something I think about throughout the day. It's how I have learned to regulate my emotions and I feel that my emotions play a big part in the energy I put into my pieces.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to propel myself forward and get out of my current financial discomfort. I would invest and save some of it and use some of it for my art business. And, if there's some left over, some fun maybe! :)
