No matter the medium or style, I love to make art that makes you want to stare for a while. I want my art to evoke storytelling and imagination in the viewer’s eyes. The best part of art is interpretation, so whether I’m choosing realism or stylized or a mix of both, I love to create art that sparks something. Blue skies, dramatic lighting, or something thats just weird to look at is where my heart rest
Where do you find inspiration?I’ve drawn inspiration from my love of anime for one, then I began to perceive the outside world from an artist’s perspective, I discovered its beauty developing my love for blue skies. Studio Ghibli’s whimsical dreamscapes and peaceful landscapes also serve as core inspirations. For some of my other works, I’m heavily influenced by Baroque Era artists like Caravaggio and Alex Cabanel. Their ability to capture life and emotion deeply resonates with me and drives most of my drawings.
What would you do with $25,000?Spoil my dog a bit haha. He deserves lots of treats; however, most of my prize ones would be used to invest in more art supplies, relocate to Chicago, and hopefully find a residency, and give myself the leg up I need to create my own collection to one day exhibit. And of course, in this economy, pay some bills.
