I’m a visual artist of the genre space art. As a painter of the genre of space art, I hope to share my enthusiasm for space exploration.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
At this point in my life, I'm painting exclusively space art images, 24 inches by 24 inches on a diamond point, which gives a maximum horizontal and vertical length of ~35 inches. My Diamond Series consists of 50 paintings. My images include planetary landscapes of our solar system, galaxies, types of stars, and cosmological concepts. Every painting has a 250 to 300-word story. My intention is to teach the viewer what they are seeing and why it is relevant to the space environment around us.
Where do you find inspiration? As a retired astrophysicist, mathematician, and visual artist, I want the viewer to experience the fascination of the universe around us. As explorers, I want to share the adventurous territory that awaits humanity above our heads in space and beyond the solar system.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the funds to publish my Diamond Series as an art book based on our current understanding of the cosmology of the twenty-first century.
