I create art as a way to express how God can create healing in our hearts, not only for ourselves, but for others.

I love to paint reflections of the coast with emotion and feelings. My work is not just paintings but expressions of emotions that can be felt not just seen. I paint a lot of boats because I feel they are like people. They have a story. Where have they been? Who’s been in and out of their lives? Worn but beautiful. Then the use of light. Hope and beauty in all situations. My paintings are soft and subtle yet strong and relatable. Relaxing and peaceful. Relatable work.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration from living on the coast of Florida. All of the boats and waters and marsh and the beautiful sunsets and sunrises inspire me my relationship with God uses these things along with the scriptures in the Bible to help guide healing and connecting more with God, allowing God to heal our hearts through art.
What would you do with $25,000?It would be an honor to open a studio to represent my story. I’ve only been painting three years. I was never allowed to paint when I was a child. I didn’t even know I could draw. In my studio I would want to open the doors to the people who were told they never could and mentor them into the path of lots of possibilities they didn’t even know existed. I would help children dream and grown adults Find new dreams. And to follow God’s heart and healing. It would help me and others grow together.
