My art comes from within. It centers me and brings me peace. If it makes others smile, I’ve succeeded.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My heart lies with sculpture. I’ve been sculpting with clay for years and then add other items (wood, copper, etc) to enhance the sculpture. I recently added painting on canvas (acrylics and textured acrylics) to my artistic repertoire.
Where do you find inspiration?I’ve learned from my battle with cancer that life is too short and moves too quickly. So I’ve decided to create art that makes me happy, and hopefully in turn, brings others happiness and joy. So follow your heart and create art! My inspiration comes from my past experiences, my current environment, and my future goals.
What would you do with $25,000?My studio is a stand-alone building in my backyard. It desperately needs new windows and piping for water, so that would be first on the list. I’d also love to update the inside with paint and additional workspace. Those changes would allow me to invite in my creative friends/neighbors so we could all share inspiration together.
