Without my career, I felt lost. Facing death, pushed me to truly live my purpose knowing each unique piece is a match somehow, for another.

I’m drawn to creating art that feels alive—pieces that shift, reveal, and transform over time. Inspired by the ever-changing nature of opals, I build layered, textural work that invites discovery. What I love most is the moment a piece becomes something personal to the viewer—seen differently with each glance, each light, each mood. Using iridescent pigments that mimic the awness we don’t see in reality. The opals, the pearls, the golds on something simple. A tree. These pigments say, “Heaven”.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in what doesn’t stay still—light that shifts, textures that resist perfection, and beauty that reveals itself slowly. Opals echo that for me, never telling the same story twice. I’m drawn to that space where control breaks just enough to let something honest, imperfect, and unexpectedly luminous emerge—because I trust what reveals itself over time.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in creating The Opal Orchard Gallery—a space where art feels like stepping into another world. Not just for me, but for local artists to be seen and supported. In a community just north of Minneapolis that has felt division, I want to build something peaceful and alive—where people can wander, breathe, and remember what beauty feels like. Our community needs this. I currently host art events and am working towards having our own space. Minnesota is hurting. I want to help us heal.
