I believe I am a mosaic of all that I’ve been blessed to experience. I hope to channel that into the art I create for the sake of art.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I am a digital photographer and I like to create art out of real, candid moments with real people. I dabble in editorial photography and am equally inspired by the creation of concepts and staging moments that can pull an audience in. My intention is to put as much of my experience into the art i create. Once i release my photos they become the worlds to interpret and embrace, all while carrying the DNA of my life.
Where do you find inspiration? There is a quote by the great Martin Scorsese that says, “the most personal is the most creative” and I take that to heart. I pull inspiration from the colors, music, textures, and people of my life and childhood. I had the privilege of growing up in places rich in culture and diversity. From Juarez, Chih to El Paso, Tx to Los Angeles, Ca and so many places and faces in between. I am grateful for the life I get to live and the things i am able to make because of it.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my photography career and steward it to be as productive as possible. This money would facilitate my financial independence and allow me to invest in my future as an artist and single woman.
