The type of artwork I create is a combination of fantasy, abstraction, and realism. I use a mixture of mediums to emphasize my belief that everyone is a melting pot of experiences. My work shows the beauty of each medium. However, the importance comes with the use of light and shadow to tell the story.
Where do you find inspiration?As cliché as this sounds, my inspiration comes from life itself. I don't mean I just walk out and draw or paint (though sometimes that's how it is), I mean, I gather inspiration from noticing small, intricate things in life. How the light hits a branch or a story, I overheard from someone. As simple as that sounds, all of my work comes from these small stories from life.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I will breathe new energy into my studio practice, invest in sharing my work with a wider global community, and cultivate a series of immersive art retreats where creativity can be experienced collectively. This support will also allow me to produce a solo exhibition and travel beyond the familiar to gather inspiration that continues to shape my work.
