Clothes!! I up cycle clothes by cutting them up and making them into something new, a one of a kind outfit. Not one of my outfits will ever be the same, which I think is really cool as somebody who enjoys having unique pieces myself:) I make them to order and get to engage with my customer on what vibe they want their outfit. It’s community building and so fun to connect with others through art in this way!
Where do you find inspiration?I find my art inspiration from my soul, truly. I will have visions of a piece that I’m supposed to make. Then i bring it to life. Looking at a piece a fabric will do it for me too. Seeing an outfit on somebody will also inspire me to create. I have a talent of blending patterns that nobody thinks would look cute together. BUT THEY LOOK SO CUTE TOGETHER. It’s all about trusting my process. I was born to create.
What would you do with $25,000?I will get my machines serviced and I will upgrade to make my life a lot easier. I will get really nice thread too!! I’ll travel for inspiration and new cultural experiences. I will get my sewing area in better condition and get myself set up really well to create! I will do the Saturday market in Portland, Oregon!! I’ve always dreamed of doing that, I’m really excited to have the opportunity :)
