I create art to escape my mind from all the racing thoughts, motion, and complexities of society. It is my therapy and peace from reality.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is Japanese wabi-sabi art—pieces that also resonate with nature, such as weathered wood, drifting petals, moss-covered stone, and the quiet beauty of nature’s imperfections.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw my inspiration deeply from nature—the way the wind moves through trees, the texture of aged stone, and the quiet rhythm of the seasons. It makes me feel in tune with life and reminds me there is beauty in simplicity, change, and imperfection. Nature gives me a sense of creative freedom and peace, and I love finding ways to weave that feeling into daily life and share it with others through what I create.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to reinvest directly into my artwork and further develop it as a long-term career. Creating has become a deeply important part of my life, and I fully intend to continue pursuing it for years to come. I would use the opportunity to refine my craft, expand my resources, and build something lasting through the passion that drives me. Art is at the center of why I create, and I don’t see that ever changing.
