Painting helps me to feel calm and serene. I love the feeling I get when the picture in my head reaches the paper and flows into the world.

I love watercolor collage and all of its wildness. The inability to know what the paint will do on the different textures is excruciating yet exciting. I have also added encaustic wax to equation which leads to more interesting results with the textures of the papers I use in my creations.
Where do you find inspiration?I find the most inspiration in my own small world. My cats, dogs and husband. My garden with the flowers, trees, birds, little crawly creatures and the possum who sits with while I read on the deck. The friends, who share their own art, stories and lives with me. I never know what, who or even why will inspire me but it’s glorious when in happens.
What would you do with $25,000?I have some medical bills to pay, some studio remodeling but I would love to share some of the money with Happy Cat Cafe for helping me display my art. I would also love to update my patio space so I could paint outside during the summer.
