I create because I must. I use art as a means to process emotions I don’t have words for.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite work to create is art that functions as a space for processing emotion. I’m drawn to making pieces that hold tension, pause, and reflection. Through material and form, the work becomes a place to sit with what is unresolved and allow it to shift over time.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the natural world. My practice often centers on materials that hold traces—objects, surfaces, or forms that suggest accumulation, erosion, and return. I’m interested in how absence and presence coexist, and how quiet, cyclical processes can mirror emotional states like grief, where nothing fully resolves but continually shifts.
What would you do with $25,000?This money would be life changing! I will probably use it to apply to shows and galleries. It most likely will go towards my student loans.
